The battery life's really awesome like I could use it the whole day despite the fact that I use Adobe PS which eats a lot of battery, right?

So when I installed and, for a several days, uninstalled Deep Freeze for my laptop, the battery life shortened. It used to run at most 8+ hours, but these days, it would only run at most 3.5-4 hours, depending on how I use it. Still, I wanted to bring back that 8+ hours capacity of my battery life.

And oh I actually reinstalled my NVDIA driver since I have encountered the blue screen of death twice, which was actually very weird, and since then I have not encountered the blue screen of death once again.

What do you think is the cause of this sudden change of battery life? Is it because of the Deep Freeze setting or is it because I have reinstalled my NVDIA driver? And I have considered the fact that my laptop's aging but I think the battery wouldn't shorten its life abruptly. Is there anyway that I can bring back that 8+ hours capacity of my laptop's battery life?

P.S. I actually installed that Deep Freeze this year and the reinstalled my NVDIA driver last year.

This may be a little late for the original poster, but in case anyone else has this question.

My 4830T seems to recognize and use 16GB (2 x 8GB) perfectly in BOTH windows 7 (SP1), AND Windows 10.

So although the 4830T has an official max of 8GB, anecdotally, it can handle 16B.

I have used these specific G.Skill and Kingston HyperX modules (to be clear, I did not mix the module brands).

- low voltage, 1.35V (rather than regular DDR3, which is 1.5V)

- DDR3L 1600 is technically overkill in terms of speed/frequency, but it's ok, these modules can operate at 667 MHz (DDR3/L 1333), which the 4830T uses.

- low latency (CAS 9 @ 800 MHz (CAS 8 @ 667 MHz) as opposed to the more economic CAS 11 @ 800 MHz)

I mention this info for completeness, but I do not know if these factors are important for getting the 16GB to work. Different specs may or may not work. I do however, recommend the low-voltage option for reduced heat production and (slightly) increased battery life.
